Trooper DVR System

How do I view the images captured on video?

It's really easy. When there is an incident captured by the Trooper that you want to review, simply remove the hard drive from the locked protective box with the key that was given to you. Bring the hard drive into your office, insert it into the hard drive reader and download it into your computer.

Do I have to change tapes every day?

With the Trooper DVR system, there is no need for tapes. Recordings are made into the hard drive.

How many days of video recording can the Trooper capture?

It depends on the size of hard disk. You have a choice of 40 GB, 80 GB, 120 GB or 160 GB for the 1- and 4-channel systems, and a choice of 80 GB, 160 GB, 300 GB, 600 GB for the 9-channel systems.

What does the Trooper system include?

The Trooper system includes a mobile digital video recorder, video camera with a 20-foot harness, secure DVR lock box, and DVR wiring harness.

Does the Trooper system support GPS (Global Positioning System)?

Our Trooper 4-channel and 9-channel Plus Systems have GPS capabilities that can record vehicle route and location in forms of longitude and latitude.

Are these systems hard to install?

The Trooper is one of the easiest systems to install, as compared to other systems in the market. A 1-channel Trooper system takes about an hour and a half to install. Total time to install will increase with each additional camera for multi-channel systems.

How reliable are these systems when they are used on the road?

The Trooper's rugged digital video recorder, 18-gauge steel lockbox and stainless steel camera are designed to withstand harsh mobile environments. Our system uses automotive connectors that provide better vibration resistance than other systems in the market.

What kind of control does the driver have on the video recording?

The driver does not have any control over what is being recorded on the DVR. What the driver has control of is how these recordings are recorded. The driver can activate the panic alarm button when a significant incident occurs on the vehicle so that the appropriate authorities can easily search for the event during video playback and review.
