Seon’s mobile surveillance products help transportation managers’ capture, record, wirelessly download, view, and easily manage on-board security footage, quickly and reliably. Seon also offers fleet management solutions such as live vehicle tracking, passenger ridership tracking, and school bus routing which are integrated with mobile video to give fleet managers real-time information about their fleet operations – for total fleet awareness.

1999 – Seon was founded with a mission to keep students and drivers safe on the road to school through the installation of video surveillance cameras on school buses.
2000 – Seon signs its first major school bus account offering VHS recording solutions to the School Bus market.
2004 – Seon introduces its first digital video recorder for the School Bus market (Trooper TR1).
2005 – Seon enters the Public Transit mobile surveillance market.
2006 – Seon releases its second generation digital video recorder for both School Bus and Transit markets (Explorer EX4 & EX8).
2007 – Seon is awarded it largest project to date in Public Transit, rolling out its mobile surveillance solutions on over 500 vehicles in Ontario, Canada.
2008 – Seon enters the fleet management market with vMax Live – a real-time fleet tracking hardware and software system.
2009 – Seon introduces vMax Commander video management software to facilitate automated wireless video downloading and advanced video management.
2011 – Seon introduces a web-based version of its real-time vehicle tracking system – vMax Live Plus.
2012 – Seon introduces the mobile surveillance market’s first IP67-rated outdoor high-definition surveillance camera, the CHW, delivering 3x the resolution of a typical analog camera, and the first mobile DVR capable of recording a high-definition video channel.
2013 – Seon further expands its’ product portfolio to including school bus routing software, student ridership tracking hardware, and live video streaming as a part of a strategy to increase the depth of safety products available to its existing school bus and transit markets.
2014 – Seon joins the Safe Fleet family whose portfolio of brands help customers improve the safety and efficiency of their fleets, their operators, passengers, and pedestrians. The Safe Fleet family of brands include ROM, Bustin, Prime Design, FRC, Specialty Manufacturing (SMI), Pretoria, Transpec, FoamPro and now Seon.
2015 – Seon acquires US Computing Inc. (USCI), a leading provider of commercial and school bus routing software.
2016 – Seon launches new around vehicle monitoring system (AVM), inView360 which eliminates dangerous vehicle blind spots that threaten pedestrian safety.
2017 – Seon launches new line of high-definition hybrid technology video surveillance solutions, the TH Series.
